gas

Oil heat, is, complicated.  Thing is,  you have to order a truck to come out and dump a whole heap of it in a tank that may be buried, like an egyptian sarcophagus,  somewhere in your property.  (oh, and the tanks rust and then leak toxic fel-oil into the bosom of mother earth, and then you pay 1000's of dollars for someone to come and take all of the contaminated dirt away and refill the hole.  fortunately our soil is clean.)long story short,  we saw the oil furnace that came with the house as a huge hinderance for being able to sell the house.  so we tapped the Downings expansive and deep network of friends to find a guy ho deals with HVAC, and we had these guys come in and exhume the relic from our basement so that the new hotness could come to abide.  big thanks to the guys at Sun Glow.

In case you didnt know or dont quite remember,  the dark glow at the left of the first photo is the old furnace

The guys haulin it away.  R.I.P. dude.

The new Hotness.

oh, and what with the weather and all,  there was water in our garage this morning,  which got on the new roll of carpet we had been storing out there.  we need to finish our drainage project.  in the meantime,  Amy and Janell (pictured here) will be wading about leafing through boxes that got wet.
